Amateur Radio License Testing

Amateur Radio testing for all classes of license is offered by the PAWA on the third Thursdays of January, April (10:00 AM), July, and October at 6:00 PM at the Stewart Morrill American Legion Post #35, 413 Broadway, South Portland. Questions may be directed to Bryce Rumery, K1GAX (207) 799-1116

Next Test Session: Thursday, October 21, 2010

Exams begin promptly at 6:00 PM and doors will close for testing at 6:15 PM, so don't be late!!

Things to bring to the exam session: (for all candidates)
- The exam fee: $ 15.00 (cash - sorry, no checks accepted - exact change appreciated)
- One piece positive ID (picture ID) or two pieces of non-picture ID
- Your Social Security Number

For licensed amateurs: (in addition to the above)
- The original *and* a copy of your current license
- Your FRN (FCC Registration Number)
- The original *and* a copy of any CSCEs that are claimed

Please note: Without the above materials, you may not be able to test.

Directions



The American Legion Hall is on Broadway, 1/10th of a mile beyond the traffic light at Cottage Road and Broadway on the left (heading East on Broadway). Look for the Naval gun on the front lawn. GPS coordinates are N43 38.220 by W070 14.850






From I-295: Take Exit 6A (Forest Ave. South). Follow Route 77 (2.7 miles) through Portland and over the Casco Bay Bridge to the intersection of Broadway and Route 77. Follow Broadway to the intersection of Broadway and
Cottage Rd (Pratt Abbott Cleaners on the left). Continue striaght on Broadway 1/10th of a mile. The Stewart Morrill American Legion Post #35 is on the left.


From the Maine Turnpike: Take Turnpike Exit 45 (formally Exit 7) (South Portland). Go straight on the Exit 45 spur to the Broadway exit. Take the Broadway exit. Once on Broadway, follow Broadway (4.0 miles) to the
intersection of Broadway and Cottage Rd (Pratt Abbott Cleaners on the left). Continue straight on Broadway 1/10th of a mile. The Stewart Morrill American Legion Post #35 is on the left.
