The January meeting of the PAWA will be on Wednesday, January 6th. As Bryce indicated in a recent email, we've got a nice treat for this meeting!
Paul Alberghini, W1IMD, will present a program on his remote controlled station located in Hiram (at an old long haul microwave site). Paul lives in Cumberland and is able to remotely control his station in Hiram. Come to the January meeting and see how he does it!
We're looking forward to seeing what Paul has to show us :) Hope to see you all there as well !!
Well 2009 has come and gone. It was indeed a year of ups and downs for many of us, but hopefully we survived it as best we could.
Now it's 2010... Arthur C. Clark call 2010 "The Year We Made Contact".... kinda of a hopeful thought for us Hams as we creep back into increased sun spot activity in cycle 24 :)
Happy New Year everyone !! May it be full of happiness, prosperity and lots of ink in your logs!
The PAWA Store (version 1.0) is now online! Thanks to the "print on demand" service of Cafe Press, we are now happy to offer PAWA Logo and Special Event Commemorative merchandise for sale.
When you're logged in to the PAWA web site, just click on the PAWA Store link and you're on your way to a brighter future with PAWA Hats, Shirts, Mugs, Buttons, etc.
Help support the PAWA and get some awesome schwag while you're at it!
April is just about here and with it comes Hamfest after Hamfest! There was a good crowd at the Lewiston 'fester this past weekend and I'm sure there's one or two of you who brought home a new or used gem for the shack or vehicle.
If you're a PowerPole kinda ham, then I'm sure it's driving you nuts that your new rig doesn't have PowerPoles yet... Fear not! Bring your power cable(s) to this Wednesday's PAWA meeting and we'll take care of you. I'll have my WMR PowerPole crimper and a bag full or Red/Black 30 amp PowerPoles ready to go.
There's no charge for this, but you are always welcome to donate a buck or two to the club
Are you frustrated? Do you think you own a radio that is smarter than you are? Are you intimidated by a large instruction manual for your radio? If you can answer yes to either of these questions, this meeting program is for you.
No, this program will not teach you to program your specific radio. What it will do is show you how to take a logical approach to programming your equipment and prove that you are smarter than your radios every time.
